Church History

CH1- Christianity in Africa

This is a survey of church history from the time Christianity entered into Africa with the conversion of the Ethiopian Eunuch, through its spread across North Africa until it was wiped out by Islamic invasion, up to the time Christianity in Africa was revived through the great missionary movement.


CH2 - Early Church

This is a survey of church history from the post-apostolic period to Augustine. Special emphasis is given to the church's growth, the New Testament canon's development, and the Trinitarian controversies.


CH3 - Medieval Church

This is a survey of church history from Augustine to the Reformation with a focus on the Pelagian controversy and the rise of the sacramental system, the sacerdotal clergy, and the papacy.


CfI4 - Reformation and Puritans

This is a survey of church history during the period of the Reformation and the Puritans era. Special emphasis is given to the leading Reformers and Puritans, and the key doctrines of the Reformation and the Puritan era.


CH5 - Modern Church History

This is a survey of church history from the great missionary movement, the Evangelical movement, the Charismatic movement, and the Reformed Baptist movement.


CH6 - History of the Baptists

This is a survey of Baptist history beginning with the Anabaptist movement, going on to the more modern form out of the Puritan era, and ending with the current state of Baptists across the world.


CHl7 - Contemporary African Church History

This is a survey of church history on the African continent looking at the period when the pioneer missionaries began to hand over church leadership to the indigenous African leaders and going on all the way to the movements that are currently on the continent.
