STI - Foundations of Theological Study
This is a systematic and practical study designed to serve as an extensive introduction to the ministerial college and the necessary disciplines for succeeding in studies. The course has two primary goals. First, it is intended to provide an overview of the various aspects of training and development a man must go through to be equipped for the ministry, and especially to introduce the key fields of knowledge and study that students of LMC are expected to acquire. Second, the course is intended to provide the student with basic instruction to the skills of reading, thinking, researching, and especially writing which will be necessary for his course work with LMC.
ST2 - Introduction to Systematic Theology
This is a systematic introduction to systematic theology. Includes a brief introduction to theology in general and to systematic theology in particular. Also included in this course is the biblical warrant for the study systematic theology, application to life, and its relationship to other fields of theology.
ST3 - Doctrine of God and the Word
This is a systematic study of God's existence, attributes, tri-unity, and decree. This study also covers general and special revelation, including a treatment of the Canon of Scripture.
ST4 - Man and Sin
This is a systematic study of creation and providence; the origin, identity, and constitution of man; the fall; the nature and consequences of sin; and common grace.
ST5 - Doctrine of Christ and Salvation
This is a systematic and practical introduction to the person, the work and the offices of Christ. The course also includes the Doctrine of Salvation as God's solution to man's problem of sin and its practical application.
ST6 -Doctrine of the Church
This is an overview of the nature, identity, origin, institution, authority, government, mission, ordinances, and destiny of Christ's church.
ST7 - Doctrine of the Holy Spirit and the Christian Life
This is a systematic study of the person and work of the Holy Spirit, including his deity, personality, office and work, coming, and gifts. It includes a study of the application of salvation to the believer from effectual calling to glorification.
ST8 - Doctrine of the Last Things
This is a systematic and practical study of the doctrine of the last things. Includes the historical development of the doctrine, the individual and general categories of the doctrine. The course also looks at the modern approaches to the study of the doctrine, and its practical application.
ST9 - Apologetics and Polemics
This course will introduce the student to the prominent theological aberrations and major apologetic themes related to Islam, Roman Catholicism, Seventh Day Adventism, Mormonism, the new deliverance movement, etc.
